his article reports the implementation and development of a new meshfree formulation of the Finite Pointset Method with fully coupled spatiotemporal variables and its application in transient heat transfer conduction problems with moving heat sources. Unlike other widely used approaches, which typically use Euler methods to solve the time-dependent variable, in this proposal, this variable is directly incorporated into the meshfree solution strategy for the spatial variables, thus obtaining a coupled spatiotemporal method. In this way, the governing equations of the problem can be solved directly without the use of temporal discretization schemes. Moreover, since this approach results in sparse matrices, it has potential for application in solving large-scale problems. The accuracy and numerical properties of this method are verified through a series of benchmark examples, ranging from simple heat transfer problems with analytical solutions to problems involving moving heat sources. From these results, it can be concluded that this approach could be an attractive alternative numerical meshfree tool in the study and analysis of time-dependent heat transfer problems.
